Julie Allen PT |
Julie Allen holds one of the longest tenures for Greater Therapy Centers. She has been employed since 1999 and throughout this time has demonstrated a superb track record for patient care, quality physician relationships and a growing desire to be a top manager within our company. As a result of these attributes, Julie is currently GTC’s Director of Clinical Services, in addition to serving as the Clinic Manager for the Plano (link to Plano location) facility. Due to Julie’s vast experience and expertise in patient care, she continues to perform these duties by carrying a full patient load.
Julie’s therapy career began in 1996 when she graduated from one of the top therapy schools in Texas, UT Southwestern Medical School. Julie has a strong background in general orthopedics and has participated in many extra hours of continuing education to advance this knowledge. Julie participates in a vast number of sporting activities; her love of sports prompted her to become a certified Sportsmetrics trainer, which targets young athletes in an injury prevention program. In addition to sports, Julie enjoys spending time with her pets, outdoor activities, and working on her home. |

Brant Davis PT |
Brant Davis has been employed with GTC since 2001 as a senior therapist at our Lewisville facility. Brant has an extensive orthopedic background, as it has been his primary focus since beginning his career in 1996. Due to his special interest in sports rehabilitation, he has a certification in strength and conditioning, in addition to taking advanced coursework in manual therapy. Brant is a strong believer in aggressive strengthening and manual techniques and bases his practice on these standards.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996 from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas, he began his career in the San Antonio area, experiencing a variety of patient care. Brant also has personal experience in working with extreme sport athletes, as he is active in rock climbing, skydiving, snowboarding, and riding motorcycles. |

Cindy Goetz PT |
Cindy Goetz has been employed in our Plano facility since 2004 and has just recently transferred to our Lewisville facility. Cindy has brought to GTC significant experience in many settings, as she has worked in almost every facet of physical therapy at some time in her career. With her ability to extend her working hours into the early evening, she provides an extremely valuable service to our patients, accommodating their needs for after hours care. This is just one example of Cindy’s great understanding of the importance of being flexible and accommodating to the patient’s needs to allow for optimal patient care.
Cindy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Russell Sage College in New York in 1980 and immediately went to work in a hospital setting to learn as much as possible about a variety of diagnoses and clientele. Cindy then proceeded to work in orthopedics, pulmonary rehabilitation, home health. Cindy has since specialized in outpatient orthopedics and has the unique ability to draw from her previous areas of expertise and to use this in the patient’s best interest. Cindy enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and is an avid tennis player. |

Julie Hughes PT, Cert. MDT |
Julie Hughes is the clinic manager of GTC’s Carrollton location and has been extremely successful in her patient treatments and outcomes, in addition to being a leader in assisting our company in technological advancements and providing a model for our future facilities. Julie has been with our company since 2003 and has brought expertise in outpatient orthopedics, with her special interest being treatment of the spine. Julie recently received the coveted McKenzie certification, earning the designation, "McKenzie Certified Therapist." The certification is the culmination of 200 hours of additional coursework in the McKenzie technique, testing and internship, and is only awarded to a handful of deserving therapists each year. Julie is now qualified to treat the most difficult spine patients.
Julie is another graduate of UT Southwestern’s Physical Therapy program and began her career in 1996. Julie has experience in aquatics, inpatient neurological rehabilitation and, since joining GTC, has focused exclusively on outpatient orthopedics. In addition to her career, Julie is active in traveling, sports, working out, reading and photography. |

Pam Lowry OTR |
Pam Lowry is another one of GTC’s most experienced therapists, as she has been employed since 2000 and was originally brought onto our team for her variety of treatment experience. Pam has vast knowledge in multiple areas of rehabilitation, including neurological injuries and disorders, and general orthopedic injuries. Most recently, she has focused exclusively on the treatment of the hand and upper extremity, including the fabrication of custom splints and orthotics for the hand. Pam also has significant experience with work related injuries, work simulation and rehabilitation and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s).
Pam graduated from another one of Texas’ top schools, Texas Women’s University. Her career began in 1992, when she began specializing in the neurological aspect of rehabilitation. At this time, she also began her training in FCE’s and the orthopedic work related injuries. Over the last five to six years, Pam has worked exclusively as a hand therapist and plans to take the exam for the advanced degree of Certified Hand Therapist in the fall. Pam currently works 4 days per week in our Plano location and spends her free time playing golf and exploring the world with her toddler son. |

Helen Prentice OTR, CHT |
Helen Prentice has been employed with GTC since 2003 and specializes in treatment of the hand and upper extremities. Helen has been practicing exclusively on hands and upper extremities since her career began in 1984 and passed the difficult Certified Hand Therapist exam in 1995.
Having an excellent history in customer service and offering quality patient care, Helen serves her patients well.
Helen graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1984 with a degree in Occupational Therapy and went to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, pediatrics and outpatient rehabilitation. Helen enjoys doing a variety of activities with her children in addition to reading and gardening. |

Corey Ulrich PT |
Corey Ulrich is GTC's newest employee, and we are pleased to have her as the Director of our Arlington facility. Corey graduated from TWU-Dallas in 1998, receiving a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. After graduation, Corey spent two years at Plano Rehabilitation with two of GTC's other therapists, Julie Allen and Pam Lowry. She also spent two years working with since-retired Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Frances Tompkins, at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas as a manager for the Physical Therapy department and assistant to the doctor as an x-ray technician. After this experience, Corey transferred to Healthsouth in Dallas for four years, spending her time working in outpatient orthopedic therapy, developing a student program for Physical Therapy school interns, training athletes, and making rounds with doctors.
For continuing education, Corey has been well-rounded, taking a variety of courses on the spine, hips, shoulders, ankles and hands. She recently took the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) exam and will have the results in June. This designation is awarded to therapists who have a highly extensive knowledge of orthopedics.
Corey's professional interests focus on extremities rehabilitation, TMJ, manual therapy, and educating students. Her personal interests include gardening, traveling, snowboarding, hiking and any other outdoor activity for which she has time. |

Sandy Uszler PT |
Sandy Uszler has been a GTC therapist since 2003 and brings to our company a variety of experiences in patient care. Sandy began her career in acute care, and then began specializing in outpatient orthopedics, performing that exclusively for the last 16 years. Sandy also has an interest and significant experience in foot and ankle orthotics. As a result, Sandy has the wonderful ability to see a variety of patients and diagnoses, while treating them all with great skill, care and respect. This has earned Sandy one of GTC’s highest customer service ratings.
Sandy was a graduate of The University of Wisconsin’s school of Physical Therapy in 1980 and has been a practicing therapist since that time. Sandy is employed part-time at GTC to allow her to spend time with her family and stay active in her 3 daughters’ sporting activities. Sandy is a soccer, volleyball and basketball Mom and enjoys sporting activities herself. She also enjoys reading and spending time in her yard. |

Shannon Showah, OTR |
Shannon treats patients in GTC's Arlington clinic. Shannon is an Occupational Therapist providing specialized treatment for Hand and Upper Extremity injuries and conditions. Shannon has participated in extensive continuing education pertaining to the rehabilitation of wrist/hand, shoulder and elbow injuries and conditions and is currently pursuing the designation of Certified Hand Therapist. A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Because of changes in the profession, every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.
Shannon is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. She is a member of the DFW Hand Society and is working to improve and advance her Spanish-speaking skills.
In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. |

Michael Conners, PT |
Mike is the Director of GTC's Trinity clinic which is located inside of Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton. Mike attended Richard Stockton College of New Jersey where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001. Mike then went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, earning his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2003. Mike is continuing his education and is currently working toward a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, anticipating graduation in 2008.
Mike enjoys treating a variety of diagnoses ranging from backs and necks to knees and shoulders. He particularly enjoys working with athletes, helping them to rebound from injury while teaching proactive, preventative techniques to help avoid future problems.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys cycling, surfing, competing in triathlons, and spending time with his wife and two you daughters. |

Shelly Polnick Leicester, PT, DPT |
Shelly is a native Texan who received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She has extensive experience in orthopedic physical therapy, which is where her passion lies.
Her treatment philosophy is to efficiently and effectively return patients to health and their prior activity level through a partnership between the patient, physician and therapist, using therapeutic interventions in a fun and compassionate atmosphere. She also enjoys scuba diving, fishing, reading and spending time with her family. |
